Strengthening communities, tackling disadvantage and transforming people’s lives
Through our grant making to local charities, community groups and social enterprises, we support their invaluable efforts to tackle some of the most pressing and complex challenges in our communities. Many of these groups are run by volunteers and 80% of our grants are given to small organisations running on less than £50k a year. As part of our long-term sustainable commitment to Somerset, we are building an endowment fund that will provide community support for generations to come. We support our future generations through our research, our convening role, and providing additional advice and support to other organisations.

We are the only organisation that offers the flexibility to individuals, companies and trusts to give in the way they wish to. From creating your own ‘named fund’ – we currently manage over 60 – to contributing to specific programmes, we can help you achieve what you wish to achieve.
